Privacy Policy – GrammarPro

Effective Date: January 2026

Overview

GrammarPro is a free Chrome extension that helps users refine and correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in text. The extension works entirely with text that users paste or input and does not require registration.

Information We Collect

Currently, GrammarPro collects the following information:

We do not collect personally identifiable information, health data, financial information, passwords, location, web history, or other sensitive user data.

Future Data Collection

In the future, GrammarPro may collect anonymized device identifiers or browser fingerprints. This will help differentiate users, prevent API abuse, and analyze extension usage patterns to improve the service. Currently, no such data is collected.

Use of Third-Party Services

GrammarPro uses third-party AI services, including OpenAI and Gemini, to process and refine text. These services may temporarily handle the text you submit for processing. Text sent to third-party services is used solely to provide the functionality of GrammarPro and is not stored permanently or linked to individual users.

How We Use Collected Information

Data Security

We prioritize user privacy and security. Anonymized text logs are stored securely and temporarily. Sensitive credentials, such as API keys for third-party services, are never stored in the extension itself to prevent unauthorized access.

Beta Status and Free Usage

GrammarPro is currently in beta and is fully free to use. Users do not need to register or provide personal information to use the extension.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as GrammarPro evolves. Any updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the extension indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
